Ferring Pharmaceuticals Announces 2005 My Little Miracle Essay Contest

If you are a mom who has successfully given birth using Ferring Pharmaceuticals’ infertility products, you can win a $10,000 education fund or one of 11 other prizes to support your child’s future. To be eligible, all you need to do is write a brief essay on your journey to achieve parenthood and its impact on your life.

Ferring’s My Little Miracle Essay Contest is open to women who have been successfully treated with BRAVELLE^® (urofollitropin for injection, purified), REPRONEX^® (menotropins for injection, USP) or a combination of both. The contest celebrates the miracles of their children’s births and continues Ferring’s tradition of providing value to their patients by offering education funds for the winners’ children.

Ferring is also awarding a $5,000 education fund for the runner up and 10 honorable mention winners will each receive $1,000.

Essays should not exceed 800 words, must be written in English, include the entrant’s name, address, phone number and age, as well as the child(ren)’s name and age(s) and be submitted with a contest application and labeled photo. Entries must be postmarked by August 30, 2005. Winners will be announced at the 61st Annual Meeting of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, October 15 - 19, 2005, at the Palais de Congrès in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

BRAVELLE^® (urofollitropin for injection, purified) and REPRONEX^® (menotropins for injection, USP), like all gonadotropins, are potent substances capable of causing mild to severe adverse reactions, including OHSS (incidence of 6.0% and 3.5%, respectively), with or without pulmonary or vascular complications, in women undergoing therapy for infertility.
