A Message from the President
Ferring Pharmaceuticals is a privately held, research driven biopharmaceutical company established in 1950. As we celebrate 60 years of innovation, what is most important to understand about Ferring is that we are a product of our people and of our peptides. The Ferring story is about the far-reaching vision of groundbreaking scientists who understood the fundamental role of peptide hormones in controlling many of the body‘s key processes. It is a story about creating medicine on the body‘s own terms, and about the entrepreneurs with the spirit and drive to bring these medicines around the world.
Our global headquarters is in Saint-Prex, Switzerland. We employ more than 4000 people in close to 50 countries worldwide. We research, develop, manufacture and market pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical treatments that span the human life cycle, with a particular excellence in peptide and endocrine research. Our key therapeutic areas are reproductive health, women‘s health, urology, gastroenterology, endocrinology and orthopedics.
