At Ferring, we not only strive to empower people to live healthy, fulfilling lives through Pharmaceutical innovation, education and advocacy, we are also committed to supporting the advancement of medicine through healthcare professional education that benefits patients by providing educational grants to qualified organizations. Thank you for considering Ferring as a source of support for your educational initiatives.
Application Criteria
If you are seeking funding for an educational activity related to one of our therapeutic areas, you are invited to submit a request for an educational grant. Ferring will consider funding for healthcare related educational activities that provide valuable information for medical and community healthcare professionals to improve patient care in the following therapeutic areas:
- Infertility – gonadotropin/progesterone treatments and infertility management.
- Orthopaedics – joint viscosupplementation and intra-articular injection technique, osteoarthritis and quality of life.
- Women's Health - Not currently accepting applications. No funding available for 2013.
- Urology - hormone sensitive prostate cancer treatment.
- Gastroenterology - bowel cleansing prior to colonoscopy and detection of gastrointestinal disorders.
Please note that we do not accept grant applications for programs or events that have already occurred. The Ferring Grant Review Committee is currently only accepting grant requests for programs or activities that are scheduled to occur prior to October 1, 2013. Please continue to check this page periodically for updates on the availability of funding.
Submission Guidelines
In order to submit your funding request for consideration by the Ferring Grant Review Committee (FGRC), you must complete the application and attach a cover letter which includes a description of your request along with a program agenda/brochure, detailed line-item budget and signed W-9 domestic US form. If your program is accredited for continuing medical education (CME/CE), please attach a needs assessment, learning objectives, and outcomes measurement plan for the activity and a copy of your Letter or Certificate of Accreditation.
Once all of the supporting documents are received, the FGRC will consider your request and will inform you promptly of the funding decision or contact you directly with any questions. The review process generally takes about 45 days. Therefore, if your event is less than 45 days from the application receipt date (including all supporting documentation), your grant request may not be able to be considered or processed by the time of the event. We ask that you please assist us with minimizing the review timeline by providing complete and accurate documentation in a timely manner.
Although Ferring is unable to provide grant support for every request due to the volume that we receive and limited funding available, all completed submissions that meet review criteria will be reviewed and considered. Each grant is evaluated on its individual merit relative to other grant requests in accordance with all established guidelines and policies. Please note that previous support does not guarantee future support. If your request is approved for funding, you will receive written confirmation of approval. Please be advised that even if your application is approved, Ferring may not be able to fund the entire original request amount. Please do not consider any request approved until you have received written documentation from Ferring approving your grant request. Grant applications for programs that have been previously declined by the Ferring Grant Review Committee will not be eligible for resubmission.
Your application must be completed and submitted online. Please fill in all fields as accurately and completely as possible. Incomplete information may result in processing delays. If you do not have electronic versions of the required attachments, you may send them to the Medical Affairs Department at Ferring at the mailing address below. Please reference your Grant ID# as indicated on the submission page.
