MENOPUR® (menotropins for injection, purified)
MENOPUR is a purified preparation of human menopausal gonadotropin (hMG) containing hormones
necessary for human reproduction. MENOPUR is the first and only fertility treatment approved by the FDA on the basis of pregnancy rates. MENOPUR® is a preparation of naturally derived gonadotropins that has undergone an exacting purification process. The hMG in MENOPUR® is extracted from the urine of postmenopausal women and is purified using state-of-the-art technology. It contains equal amounts of 75 IU follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) and 75 IU leutinizing hormone (LH).
Please note:
Only physicians thoroughly familiar with infertility treatment, including the
risk of multiple births and adverse reactions, should prescribe MENOPUR®. It
is a potent gonadotropic substance capable of causing mild to severe
adverse reactions in women. Gonadotropin therapy requires a certain
time commitment by physicians and supportive health professionals, and
its use requires the availability of appropriate monitoring facilities. In
female patients it must be used with a great deal of care.
MENOPUR®, like all gonadotropins, is a potent substance capable of causing
mild to severe adverse reactions, including OHSS (incidence of 8.2%),
with or without pulmonary or vascular complications, in women
undergoing therapy for infertility.

BRAVELLE® (urofollitropin for injection, purified)
Bravelle is the
newest highly purified human-derived FSH (hFSH). It is the only human-derived FSH approved for both subcutaneous (SC) and intramuscular (IM) injection. Bravelle in conjunction with human chorionic gonadotropin, is indicated for ovulation induction and in vitro fertilization following pituitary suppression.
Please note:
Only physicians thoroughly familiar with infertility treatment, including the risk of multiple births and adverse reactions, should prescribe Bravelle. It is a potent gonadotropic substance capable of causing mild to severe adverse reactions in women. Gonadotropin therapy requires a certain time commitment by physicians and supportive health professionals, and its use requires the availability of appropriate monitoring facilities. In female patients it must be used with a great deal of care.
Bravelle, like all gonadotropins, is a potent substance capable of causing mild to severe adverse reactions, including OHSS (incidence of 8.2%), with or without pulmonary or vascular complications, in women undergoing therapy for infertility.

ENDOMETRIN® (progesterone) Vaginal Insert 100 mg
Progesterone is a natural hormone often prescribed for infertile women
during the luteal phase of an Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART)
treatment. The first new product for luteal phase support to be approved
by the FDA in a decade, Endometrin is indicated to support embryo
implantation and early pregnancy by supplementation of corpus luteal
function.
Please note:
Only physicians thoroughly familiar with infertility treatment should prescribe
Endometrin. In clinical trials (n=808), adverse reactions that occurred at a
rate greater than or equal to 2% included: uterine spasm (3% to 4%) and
vaginal bleeding (3%). Vaginal irritation, itching, burning or discomfort,
urticaria, and peripheral edema were reported at an incidence of less than
2%. Endometrin is expected to have adverse reactions similar to other drugs
containing progesterone (breast tenderness, bloating, mood swings,
irritability, and drowsiness).

REPRONEX® (menotropins for injection, USP)
Repronex is a human menopausal gonadotropin (hMG) administered by subcutaneous
or intramuscular injection. It is the most frequently prescribed hMG on
the market1. Repronex, in conjunction with hCG, is indicated for multiple follicular
development (controlled ovarian stimulation) and ovulation induction in
patients who have previously received pituitary suppression. Ferring
markets hMG products, like Repronex, worldwide, where they have been administered
to thousands of patients.
Please note:
Repronex is a drug that should only be used by physicians who are thoroughly familiar with infertility
problems. It is a potent gonadotropic substance capable of causing mild to severe adverse reactions in
women. Gonadotropin therapy requires a certain time commitment by physicians and supportive health
professionals, and its use requires the availability of appropriate monitoring facilities. In female
patients it must be used with a great deal of care.
Repronex, like all gonadotropins, is a potent substance capable of causing mild to severe adverse reactions,
including OHSS (incidence of 3.5%), with or without pulmonary or vascular complications, in women undergoing
therapy for infertility.

NOVAREL® (chorionic gonadotropin for injection, USP)
Novarel® is designed to mimic the action of pituitary luteinizing
hormone (LH) and is used during ovulation induction therapy to trigger
egg release. Novarel is indicated for induction of ovulation and pregnancy in the
anovulatory, infertile woman in whom the cause of anovulation is secondary and not
due to primary ovarian failure, and who has been appropriately pretreated with
human menotropins.
Novarel is available by prescription in 10 mL multiple dose vials containing
10,000 USP units with accompanying diluent.
Please note:
Novarel should be used in conjunction with human menopausal gonadotropins only by physicians
experienced with infertility problems who are familiar with the criteria for patient selection,
contraindications, warnings, precautions and adverse reactions described in the package insert
for menotropins. The principal serious adverse reactions are: (1) Ovarian hyperstimulation, a
syndrome of sudden ovarian enlargement, ascites with or without pain and/or pleural effusion, (2)
Rupture of ovarian cysts with resultant hemoperitoneum, (3) Multiple births and (4) Arterial
thromboembolism.
