Lisa Marie Maleska is a Senior Sales Representative at Ferring who has earned the additional title of Field Trainer for mentoring and training new sales representatives. Since she joined Ferring in January 2001 as an infertility sales representative, Lisa has achieved an impressive record of success. Her achievements build on her progressive success during her 20-year career in sales, primarily in the medical/ pharmaceutical industry.
At Ferring, Lisa won the Company’s prestigious Excellence Club Award five different years for the highest sales achievement, finishing first overall during two of those years. She successfully built sales at the launch of BRAVELLE® (urofollitropin for injection, purified), MENOPUR® (menotropins for injection, USP), and ENDOMETRIN® (progesterone) Vaginal Insert 100 mg and won numerous high achievement awards.
Prior to Ferring, Lisa joined the sales force of Ostex International, Inc., representing a new lab test for osteoporosis, and significantly grew her territory sales. Before that, she sold seven different drugs in various markets for Syntex Labs. There she won many accolades, including the company’s “First to Launch” award for selling Ticlid*, a drug for stroke.
Early in her career, Lisa held other sales position, at Donnelly Directory selling advertising space for the Yellow Pages, where she won several sales awards, and at Canon USA, where she was soon promoted to a national sales representative. Lisa holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from St. Johns University in New York City.
Lisa attributes her career success to many mentors she has met along her career path as well as a willingness to move outside of her comfort zone and continuously try new ways of doing things. As she explains:
“I think outside of the box and am self-motivated. Being on the front line can be tough but I enjoy the challenge. Change is difficult to accept but I learn to adapt. I don’t take ‘no’ for an answer. I uncover what is really going on and continue to sell. There will always be obstacles in our path. Success means overcoming them on a regular basis. I have watched Ferring grow and I am enjoying my time here, adding to the sales and growth of this great company.”
